Sombra No. 1 is what happens when you put Hierba No. 1 and Sombra No. 3 in a room together.
A 50/50 blend of the two — washed Castillo from Huila, natural Castillo from Tolima. Same variety, two processes, one cup. The clean tangerine brightness of Hierba pulling against the deep, rich weight of Sombra. Milk chocolate, brown sugar, ripe tropical fruit, and that crisp citrus thread running right through the middle.
Balanced. Rounded. Doesn't need to shout.
Tom's dad tried it and texted back "tastes fine." Honestly, hard to argue with that. It does taste fine. Exceptionally fine, but we'll take it.
